The seign of this poster for play is very interesting. All the handwriting type is around the main point the fork with the U.S shape and that made they stand out. Also because the design is just in black make itself more dramatic besides that the fork direction is pointing out the title of the play.
The color restriction--black only--gives the variety in mark-making and approach (come line-work, some solid shapes, some shading) unity. i didn't notice immediately that the "morsel" on the fork was an outline of the continental US! Nice find.
